The President H.Hichilema has commissioned a state of the art level one hospital in Kitwe worth around $US25 million.

Government through the Ministry of Health has signed a contract with NMS Infrastructure Limited for the construction of 5 Level one hospitals and 120 health centres countrywide.

The revived Zambia Flying Doctors Service launched an outreach programme dubbed ‘Restoring Rural Health’ with the aim of attending to over 100,000 patients in rural and hard to reach areas before the end of 2023.

The service this week will dispatch a team of doctors to Eastern, Western, Muchinga and Copperbelt Provinces to enhance health service delivery in rural and hard to reach areas.

 The Zambian government with support from the Global Fund through the United Nations International Children’s Fund distributed 185 respiratory ventilator machines and 230 advanced patient monitors to health facilities across the country.
