The government allocated K22 billion to ADMARC to facilitate the purchase of crops especially food crops like maize. The move was aimed at ensuring that ADMARC buys from farmers at reasonable prices (as compared to vendors) and at some point sells to consumers to ensure food availability at controlled prices
Admarc fully operational, hires 1300 new employees
Government through the Ministry of Agriculture reopened ADMARC after having closed the entire parastatal in 2022 to pave way for a restructuring process.
