Government banned charcoal production

Zambian government has banned the production of charcoal in some areas saying that the practice is killing the environment. The government says the ban helps to protect what is left of the country's forestry.

The partnership seeks to empower local communities and expand habitat for wildlife through the implementation of a high-integrity carbon storage and sequestration project.
