Government gives financial grants to youth cooperatives through the National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM)
The government, through the National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM), gave a K5 million grant to Mwanganda 1 Youth Club in Karonga which is a youth cooperative. The grants are envisioned to support the Agriculture, Trade and Mining (ATM) strategy that the government is implementing. The grants are also expected to end hunger and youth poverty.
Malawi students receive boost as 28,883 get loan approval
The government, through the Higher Education Students Loans and Grants Board (HESLGB), has approved 28,883 applicants for academic loans for Malawi students.
