Malawi Prison introduces skills programme for inmates

The Malawi Prison Service with support from the Germany Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband (DVV) International launched the Adult Learning and Education in Prisons programme in conjunction with the Centre for Human Rights Education Advice and Assistance (Chreaa). Skills such as barbering, carpentry, tailoring, communication and conflict resolution are to be taught

Malawi Prison Service 53 graduates 53 ex-prisoners with vocational skills

53 ex-prisoners graduated with various skills including electrical installation, welding, tailoring and carpentry and joinery. The training was offered courtesy of Prison Fellowship Malawi in collaboration with Malawi Prisons Service.
